Anne O’Dea has over 30 years of experience in the natural and cultural resource management, training and public education. She has filled various positions in National Parks in Queensland and Northern Territory, including Fraser Island and jointly managed Kakadu National Parks, highlighted by work with humpback whales, dugong, sea turtles and small mammals.
Anne has a Degree in Applied Biology, a Graduate Diploma in Education and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Anne is currently a partner with Steve Winderlich in Windydea Professional Services and Consultants specialising in environmental, cultural and workforce matters. Windydea have been engaged in a variety of Research, Citizen Science and Environmental Education projects with Conservation Volunteers across Australia and with the Tree Kangaroo Conservation Program in Papua New Guinea. These include developing conservation based education programs for village kids in PNG, and threatened species projects from the Matchie’s Tree Kangaroos in Papua New Guinea, marine turtles in West Australia, rewilding the Little Desert in Victoria, to the “Save the Tasmanian Devil” program in Tasmania.
